I wonder if I'm somehow related to this guy!
My name is William Francis Tracy III - I just go by Bill Tracy.
How funny is this!
Anyone else here by the same name by any chance?

I don't think Bill Tracy had any sons, just one daughter Willow whose whereabouts are unknown. His Aug. 1974 obit confirmed that he only has one daughter. And I was born Jan 14, 1974. But, my first Bill Tracy ride would have been the Bucket O' Blood (Pirate's Cove 1962-1974) at Dorney Park in the late 70's, or early 80's, it burned down Sept 28, 1983. Also, the Gold Mine walkthrough in the basement of the arcade Dorney house, also a Bill Tracy attraction, it closed 1985 I believe, and the building was torn down fall 2005 with the arcade. The Journey to the Center of the Earth mill chute dark ride (I have a video clip on YouTube-rwk360) was built 1927 as Mill Chute, and remodeled by Bill Tracy in 1960, and razed 1992-1993 off season after Cedar Fair takeover from Harris Weinstein who ran the park since 1985, before him Bob Ott (married Bob Plarr's daughter Sarah/Sally) (passed Mar 2007) and Steve Plarr (son) and Bob Plarr, both passed 1967, 1966. Harris Weinstein married Steve Plarr's daughter Debora. Bob F. Ott who passed Mar 2007 has a son Robert S. Ott, lives in FL where Weinstein lives. There was also a Bill Tracy Whacky Shack walkthrough at Dorney Park in the 1960's, it burned Dec 1973. Now, Dorney has walk-through haunt attractions for it's Haunt event in Sept-Oct. They've been adding more since last year, and this year. One new walk-through Club Blood added last year, and two new outdoor haunts, and more outdoor ones this year, retitling two of the indoor ones and adding new theming, and a new partial indoor maze. This year, it will be 5 indoor mazes (the new one for 2009 could be partial indoor/outdoor-Death Trap by the old wood coaster) and 6 outdoor haunts, and two shows for a total of 13 attractions. The funhouse Magical House on Boo Hill/Kill Hill at night is like a whacky shack in a way and has a Tracy-like facade. Look www.amusementpics.com/DP/Haunt08/P1200798.jpg

I don't know, but I like to ramble about my hometown park, Dorney Park which had some of the best Bill Tracy attractions. Also, now they have walk-through haunts Sept/Oct only which take me back to those days when dark ride attractions were commonplace in parks.
